Oman Royal Cavalry in El Jadida: Distinctive Women’s Participation and Striking International Presence

In a distinguished participation within the activities of the seventeenth edition of the El Jadida International Horse Show, the Royal Cavalry of the Sultanate of Oman marked an exceptional presence by presenting a specialised women’s team in equestrian performance displays, in a move that reflects the evolving presence of Omani women in this field, following the team’s previous participation in a number of Arab and international festivals.

As part of its media coverage of this international event, Ourika Press (OURIKA Press) had the honour of conducting a press interview with Al Rukn, Director General of the Royal Cavalry of the Sultanate of Oman, who praised the advanced standing that the El Jadida International Horse Show has come to occupy globally, considering it a prominent fixture for celebrating the equestrian world and enhancing communication between professionals and those interested in this longstanding heritage.
The Omani official also commended the role played by the exhibition in highlighting the value of Arabian and Barb horses, particularly their connection to traditional equestrian arts, which form an authentic part of Morocco’s cultural and heritage identity.

This Omani participation, with all the distinction it carries in performance displays and a striking women’s presence, reflects the growing international dimension of the exhibition, which continues to cement its position as a space for cultural exchange and the celebration of horses and equestrian arts as a bridge for communication between peoples and civilisations.
