Mobile National Security Unit Brings ID Card Services Closer to Ourika Residents

The issuance and renewal campaign for the Electronic National Identity Card (e-ID) continues in the Ourika administrative district through a mobile unit operated by Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), as part of ongoing efforts to improve access to administrative services for residents of rural and mountainous areas.
Conducted in coordination with local authorities and the Royal Gendarmerie, the initiative aims to bring public services closer to citizens, particularly elderly people, persons with disabilities, and individuals suffering from chronic illnesses who often face difficulties traveling to urban centers to obtain official documents.
Strong Turnout and Wide Participation
According to available figures, nearly 190 electronic national identity cards were processed during the first two days of the campaign. On the third day, the mobile unit served approximately 100 additional beneficiaries, bringing the total number of people assisted to more than 290 citizens.
Positive Feedback from Residents
The initiative has been warmly welcomed by residents of the communities under the jurisdiction of Ourika, who praised the efforts made to facilitate access to administrative services and reduce the burden of travel, especially for vulnerable groups.
Many citizens also called for the campaign to be organized on a regular basis, highlighting its role in reducing transportation costs and administrative difficulties while strengthening the principle of citizen-centered public services.
