Ourika inaugurates a new Shaolin Kung Fu and Self-Defense Training Center in Douar Asguine

In a significant initiative combining sports and education, Douar Asguine in the commune of Ourika officially inaugurated a new training center dedicated to Shaolin Kung Fu and self-defense on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The facility is supervised by Youssef Bourimi and was inaugurated in the presence of representatives of civil society, local associations, and sports and education professionals.

The opening ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by the Moroccan national anthem, before the symbolic ribbon-cutting marked the official launch of the new sports facility.

More than just a martial arts training center, the academy aims to instill values such as discipline, respect, self-confidence, and perseverance while providing children and young people with a safe and positive environment that encourages personal development and helps steer them away from harmful behaviors.

This initiative represents an important addition to the sports infrastructure of Ourika and offers local youth a valuable opportunity to discover and develop their talents in a healthy educational and sporting environment.
