The city of Chichaoua has witnessed security interventions that resulted in the arrest of a person in his twenties on suspicion of possessing chira resin and medical pills of questionable nature, in addition to the apprehension of two other individuals inside a local café in possession of bottles of alcohol.

According to available information, the first suspect was intercepted while travelling in a light vehicle, where a search conducted by security services enabled the recovery of a quantity of chira, alongside over 100 medical pills of questionable nature, as well as a medical prescription.

The individual concerned has been placed in police custody as part of the investigation aimed at determining the circumstances and background of the case, under the supervision of the competent public prosecution.

In a separate operation, the security services managed to apprehend two people inside a café in the city of Chichaoua, after bottles of alcoholic beverages were found in their possession.

These interventions fall within the framework of security operations aimed at cracking down on unlawful acts, whilst the necessary legal procedures continue under the supervision of the competent public prosecution.
