Chichaoua: Provincial Governor inspects liquid sanitation project and educational institution reconstruction sites in Mzoudia
As part of monitoring development projects and supporting reconstruction initiatives in Chichaoua province, the Provincial Governor, Bouabid El Guerrab, carried out a field visit on Thursday, 29 October 2026, to the commune of Mzoudia to assess the progress of several infrastructure and educational rehabilitation projects.
The inspection tour was attended by the Head of Chichaoua district and the Caid of Mzoudia caidate, alongside the provincial director of the regional multi-services company.
The liquid sanitation project in the centre of the Mzoudia commune was one of the key stops of the visit, where the Provincial Governor and the accompanying delegation were briefed on the progress of work on this project, which has been allocated a budget of approximately 13 million dirhams.
The project aims to improve sewerage services and reduce the environmental issues posed by septic tanks near residential settlements by establishing a wastewater treatment plant and constructing pipelines to connect existing collection stations.
The provincial delegation also visited the douars of Belaid Benmbarek and Moussa Mbarek, where they inspected the reconstruction and rehabilitation work on classrooms damaged by the Al Haouz earthquake, in order to check the rate of completion and the progress of the rehabilitation operations for the educational institutions concerned.
This visit falls within the framework of field monitoring efforts for planned projects in Chichaoua province, and assessing the progress of infrastructure and reconstruction sites, particularly those related to improving the living conditions of the population and enhancing educational and environmental services.
