Mobile National Security Unit Arrives in Ourika to Bring Electronic ID Services Closer to Rural Residents

A mobile unit of Morocco’s National Security arrived on Thursday, June 18, 2026, in the Ourika command area of Al Haouz Province as part of ongoing efforts to bring administrative services closer to rural communities and facilitate the issuance and renewal of the National Electronic Identity Card (CNIE).

Services Designed for Rural Communities

The initiative aims to provide citizens with easier access to registration and identity card services near their places of residence, eliminating the need to travel to urban centers and reducing both travel costs and waiting times.

Operation Scheduled to Continue Until June 20

The mobile unit is expected to continue providing its services until Saturday, June 20, 2026. The operation has attracted significant interest from residents seeking to obtain or renew their electronic identity cards under convenient and organized conditions.

Strengthening Community-Oriented Public Services

This initiative forms part of the community-based approach adopted by Morocco’s General Directorate of National Security, which seeks to expand and improve access to public administrative services, particularly in rural and mountainous areas, while promoting equal access to public facilities and services.
